The Risk Factors In Cardiovascular Diseases

Scientists have not been able to identify "causes" of most heart ailments. But there is an impresive accumulation of research material and statistical data pointing to certain physical conditions and lifestyle in the development fo heart attack and stroke. Some of these are beyond our control, but some are governed primarily by individual choices.

CVD risk factor divide into two kind, risk factor that can be controlled and can't be controlled. Some risk fators-age, race and heredity-are built into our physical and genetic makeup.
  • The risk of heart attack increases with advancing years.
  • Heart attack is more common among men than among premenopausal women.
  • Whiles in the United States suffer heart attack with greater frequency than blacks of Asiatics.
  • Heredity plays an important part in heart disease, particularly that which occurs in the early years. People with blood relatives who have had CVD are at greater risk of developing CVD.
CVD risk factors that you can control:
The CVD factors that you can control like high blood pressure indicate that you must control your meal and activity. Low blood pressure, you should be concerned, probably not. Low blood pressure is generally a problem only in certain medical emergencies, such as hemorrhage and shock, and among the elderly. The other factor that can be controlled like from cigarette smoking, because cigarette smoking is as hard on the heart and circulatory system as it is on the lungs.
